Summer is flying by and I can't even believe it is almost August. I mean, where has the time gone? I guess being stuck inside really makes you lose track of time...
Today I wanted to share with you some of my summer favorites and what I am currently crushing on in all things life. This will be a new series I do everything month just to share what is currently going on in my life and share some dope products/finds with you all.
~ What I am currently... ~
My favorite book so far this summer has been The Last Black Cargo by Zora Neale Hurston. It was a fairly quick, but interesting read. I highly recommend it!
For breakfast, I have been on a toast kick recently, all the bread topped with delicious toppings. Check out my post here for some of my favorite recipes. Salads have been a go to for lunch and as for dinner anything grilled. Honestly, nothing says summer to me like the smell of a charcoal grill and some delicious food coming off of it. My favorite recipe so far this summer came from @howsweeteats and her Steak & Potato skewers. They were seriously, to die for!
I got myself sucked into the drama Greenleaf and I love it! You can catch up on the series on Netflix, and then watch the latest episodes on OWN. The other show I am loving right now is Married at First Sight, because it is in New Orleans. There have only been a few episodes at this point, but I will keep ya'll posted, seems like its going to be a good season!
So if you know know me, you know that I like to call my style pajama chic and Target has been providing me with all the essentials for this fit. From the brand Colsie to the Joy Love athleisure fits, I have been loving it. My other go to is American Eagle and their light weight, oversized sweatshirts.
My favorite people that I am following on instagram right now are @dlolo for everything style inspiration, @halfbakedharvest for all the summer recipe eats, and @aclu_nationwide to keep up with all the social justice issues happening around the country this summer.
